Cast: Jet Li, Chin Siu Ho, Nakayama Shinobu, Billy Chau, Kurata Yasuaki.Summary: English dubbed version. Martial Arts Drama. Action Drama. Remakes. Directed by Gordon Chan. Jet Li is Chen in this updating of Bruce Lee's classic Fists of Fury. Set in China in the '20s, it is story of a skilled martial arts student's efforts to avenge the death of his master, who had been mysteriously poisoned. When Chen begins to teach there is a conflict for control of the school, especially after it's learned that Chen has fallen in love with a Japanese girl. Fist of Legend is dominated by the impressive presence of the dexterous, marvelous martial arts skills of Jet Li. Where his opponents in the film are all energy, Li's cool, rapid fighting style is more than welcome. The film's story is fairly shallow and commonplace but the action will keep fans quite interested. Lee's Fists of Fury had a more topical '70s plot line about corruption. Jet Li's production focuses attention on the antagonistic relationships between the Chinese and Japanese. With: Siu-hou Chin as Huo Ting-en, Ada Choi as Xian-hong, Billy Chow as Go Fujita, Yasuaki Kurata as Fumio Funakoshi, Jason Liu as Akutagawa and Shinobu Nakayama as Mitsuko Yamada. Notes: Produced by Jet Li. Screenplay by Lan Kay Toa and Kwong Kim Yip. Cinematography by Derek Wan. Original music by Stephen Edwards and Joseph Koo.Summary: A martial arts master is poisoned by his Japanese rivals who want to take over China, and his student works towards the unfolding of the revolt.Summary: English dubbed version.
