Interwoven in the plot is the ploy of a Chinese man disguised as an Occidental to seduce a daughter of the Spanish aristocracy. Set to a Vitaphone soundtrack with synchronized music and sound effects the action careens from rancho to saloon to secret dungeon with a recreation of the San Francisco earthquake of 1906 as the finale.
