Summary: The structure of the film is modelled on human memory. The first half permits the viewer to record strong images directly, while the second half is a repeat of the first, functioning as a recollection. In the second half, the sound track is attenuated and the images are sub-titled with a line-by-line computer read-out of Wallace Steven's poem "A clear day and no memories".
