Captured with his stationary 16mm Bolex camera on silent, black and white, 100-foot rolls of film. When projected at 16 frames per second each film is approximately four minutes long and mesmerizing in the purest sense of the word. Warhol used these films in many different contexts, as individual exhibits, as background for other exhibits and occasions, as portraits of his friends for his personal collection of mementos. The thirteen presented in this collection illustrate a recurrent theme in Warhol's work: his fascination with people.
