Native Land, a political semi-documentary formed from staged reenactments, leads viewers on an emotional tour of the pre-World War II U.S. and its freedom-based ideologies and looks at the the forces it sees as threatening to undermine America's strengths from within: greedy capitalists, professional strikebreakers, and the Ku Klux Klan. Robeson on Pacifica Radio: Paul Robeson was denied his U.S. passport from 1950 to 1958 after he refused to sign an affidavit stating that he was not a Communist. During this time, Pacifica Radio interviewed Robeson, allowing him to express his personal history and view of the world. This interview was conducted by host Elsa Knight Thompson and Harold Winkler, president of the Pacifica Foundation.
