Summary: The two-disc set compiles one and two reel films directed by Griffith during his six-year position with the American Biograph Company, 1908-1913. Having made over 450 shorts before leaving Biograph to make feature films, these works showcase Griffith's early steps towards developing a cinematic language for narrative cinema.
