The indigenous people living there want to stop the clear cutting. They hire an inexperienced attorney "Peter" to represent their interests. But he is losing the lawsuit. Arthur, a mysterious spirit that entered the world form the water, abducts Peter and the logging company's general manager. Arthur's behavior grows increasingly erratic and threatening. It is thought that Arthur is actually a Wisakedjak, an indigenous trickster spirit.
