New musical score compiled from historic photoplay music by the Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra (c2009); additional piano score by Perez de Aspeitia, adopted from the original 1926 orchestral arrangement; music for U.S. release version composed and conducted by Timothy Brock (copyright 1995). Special features: "The language of shadows : Faust," a 53-min. documentary on the making of the film; set designs by Robert Herlth; photo gallery; essay by Jan Christopher Horak; lost screen test footage of Ernst Lubitsch's abandoned 1923 production Marguerite and Faust; notes on the Mont Alto score.
