It's a great feeling: A waitress at the Warner Brothers commissary is anxious to break into pictures. She thinks her big break may have arrived when actors Jack Carson and Dennis Morgan agree to help her. Tea for two: Wealthy stage-struck Nan Carter strikes a bet that she can say "no" to everything for 48 hours. If she wins, she gets the $25,000 she needs to back a Broadway musical vehicle for herself. She's determined, even if it means saying "no" when the fellow she loves pops the question. Starlift: Red-white-and-blue fun abounds as Doris Day, Gordon MacRae, James Cagney, Gary Cooper, Virginia Mayo, Jane Wyman, Randolph Scott and others perform for - or just shoot the breeze with - starstruck flyboys in uniform. April in Paris: The State Department wants Ethel Barrymore to represent the American theater at an arts exposition in Paris, but a beleaguered bureaucrat mismails Miss Barrymore's invitation to Miss Ethel "Dynamite" Jackson. She's a very blonde, very brassy chorus girl, who proves to be dynamite on the New York to Paris ocean crossing. The tunnel of love: A comedy about a happily married couple who wants to adopt a baby and resorts to desperate means to get one.
